1964 - New Library location.  212 East Main Street.
In April 1964, Mayor Karns officially handed over the key to Margaret Baker, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the community—a new location for public library. Ms. Baker, who would go on to serve as the librarian, received the key to the building and property that once housed the Peebles family residence. Today, the building is home to Earp’s Barbershop, but its legacy as the first home of the library remains an important part of local history.
